Currently there is support for PN53x in libnfc, is there any reason to choose the chip.

Will it be useful to add support for PN51x
Hi,
Currently there is support for PN53x in libnfc, is there any reason to choose the chip.
There is no real reason except Roel Verdult, the libnfc project initiator, started to work on ACR122 which is a PN532-equipped device, then we have contribute more PN53x-devices support. BTW, now libnfc is ready to support more than only the PN53x but we don't have any otherchip-based devices and no contribution to support them.

It could be... but be careful about timing issues.
The PN53x could be considered as a PN51x with an "easier" API and some integrated features (like: hardware assisted ISO14443-4 emulation, or NFC-SEC support, etc.).
IMHO, the best we can do with a PN51x is to plug it behind an MCU (like Arduino or better) connected to the host: this way, the MCU drive the PN51x tranceiver within strict timings and the host could delated more tasks to the MCU and get back responses without the time constaints.
Thanks for the information.
Will inform when the plan to begin is fixed.
It has great information i like to read this article please
