Hardware - ACR122
Introduction
This page contains information about the ACR122(U) NFC Reader from Advanced Card Systems Limited. The product seems to be available in different layouts, the hardware components do not differ per design. They are all based on a PN532 NFC Controller chip. I've made some pictures of the designs I have seen in the wild, but there are probably more. Feel free to send pictures of different designs you stumble on.
In the old version (1.0.0) of libnfc there was a problem with newer versions of the ACR122 reader. The current release of libnfc supports all firmware versions. The following versions were successfully tested: ACR122U101(ACS v1.01), ACR122U102(Tikitag v1.02), ACR122U203(ACS v2.03, PICC)
